Personal attention.
A six-bed setting allows the team to know each client and respond more closely as needs change.
About Journey Hillside Tarzana
Journey Hillside was created to offer a more attentive alternative to large treatment campuses. In an intimate six-bed residence, clients receive individualized addiction and dual-diagnosis care from a multidisciplinary team.
Who We Are
Journey Hillside was founded by healthcare professionals who wanted clients to receive closer attention, stronger continuity and care that reflects their individual needs. The programme combines medical support, respected therapy models, 12-step principles, trauma-informed care and practical recovery experiences.
A six-bed setting allows the team to know each client and respond more closely as needs change.
Detox, residential treatment and dual-diagnosis support work as one coordinated pathway.
Therapy and medical support address substance use, mental health and the factors surrounding both.
Case management and continuing-care planning prepare clients for the next stage of recovery.
Our Model
Limited admissions are not simply an amenity. They allow for closer observation, more direct communication and greater flexibility as the treatment plan develops.
Clients can begin with medically supported detox and continue into residential treatment within the same environment. That continuity reduces disruption while the care team develops a clearer understanding of the person’s needs and progress.
The Setting
The Tarzana residence is designed to feel calm, private and comfortable. Clients can step away from everyday pressures while remaining engaged in a structured clinical programme.
The Clinical Team
Clinical, medical, psychiatric and case-management professionals contribute to a shared understanding of each client’s needs.
Clinical Director and Therapist
Program Director and Case Manager
Clinical Care Coordinator
Medical Director and Addictionologist
The wider team also includes physician assistants, nurse practitioners, psychiatric support, holistic instructors, fitness and yoga support, culinary staff and experiential facilitators.
A Broader View of Recovery
Effective treatment involves more than stopping substance use. It also means understanding the pressures, relationships, mental health concerns and practical responsibilities that can affect recovery.
Substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns are considered together.
Family involvement may help improve communication and strengthen support.
Case management can help address concerns connected to treatment and return to daily life.
Continuing-care planning helps clients prepare for structure and support after discharge.
